Penh: 100 former trainees who have participated in training courses in the Republic
of Korea through the Korea International Coperation Agency(KOICA) organized
a workshop on August 29, 2008.
Prof.
Chhour Y Meng, Director of the National Pediatric Hospital (NPH) and the President
of the Cambodia Korea Alumni Association (CAMKAA) said that this was the first
time that the association had organized the workshop. The main goal of this
workshop was to share experiences among members from one field to another field
and from one ministry to another ministry.
All
alumni were from the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy, Ministry of Public
Works and Transport, Ministry of Women's Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development
and Ministry of Health.
Mr.
Kim Byung-hwan, Representative of the Korea International Cooperation Agency
(KOICA) to the Kingdom of Cambodia, stated that KOICA was inviting more than
100 Cambodians to Korea every year.
From
1994 to 2007, the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) invited 1,044
Cambodians to participate in various training and study courses in the Republic
of Korea.
