The Embassy of Republic of Korea held an event titled "Korea Alumni - Korean Community Friendship Night" as part of the Korea Culture week, "Joumey to Korea through Culture and Flavor" (October 9 to 18).
 

Indonesian people who has a very close relationship with Korea community gathdred to build stronger human network to support "strategic Partnership to Promote Friendship and cooperation in the 21't century" in2006 between the two countries.
 

This event was participated with more or less 200 people including Korea Association members, NUAC of Korea members, IKAI members, INAKOS members, and those who had been studying in Korea and joined the scholarship program. IAKI and INAKOS introduced their activities in lndonesia, there was also Indonesian culture performance

and Samulnori perfonnance from Korea. Here the participants share knowledge and experiences about culture,job, and their studies.

Indonesia and Korea has been cooperating since the 1970's and keep spreading the cooperation into stronger and wider field. At this moment, Indonesia is part of the 10 Korea biggest trading partner. Korea community has the biggest amount in Indonesia including 3 1. 500 Koreanp eoplei n Indonesai , | .200 Korea companies,a nd almost 25.000 Indonesian people in Korea.
 

On his speech, H.E Kim Ho-young the Ambassador of Rep. of Korea for Indonesia, said that it is very important to build dynamic network and interact between both countries in order to reach good cooperation and world peace inside the G20 and ASEAN framework.
