 Time Ex-ante evaluation

A process of deliberating the various considerations of evaluation early on from the project design step to facilitate a unified implementation of project design, implementation and evaluation and establishing a project plan that includes an evaluation plan such as development of evaluation indicators.

Interim Evaluation

- Evaluation carried out while the project is in progress.
- Project department carries out mid-term evaluation for multi-year projects which are scheduled to last at least two years from among projects/programs and development research projects.

End-of-project evaluation

- Evaluation conducted at the end of a project
- Evaluation of all the projects/programs and development research projects when they are completed.

Ex-post evaluation

- Evaluation carried out for an individual activity some time after it is complete
- It is mainly carried out to earn recommendations or strategic lessons for similar future projects by measuring the sustainability, influence, effect, etc. of projects.

 Goal Process Evaluation

- Focus on the steps of designing and implementing development activities
- Interim and end-of-project evaluation

Impact Evaluation

- Focus on the impact of individual activities as compared to process evaluation
- Ex-post evaluation

Program evaluation

Sector evaluation

Measures institutional changes brought about collectively by support for the specific development sector of a recipient and development efforts by other donors and the recipient in the same area; sectoral changes; results gained due to institutional changes

Country program evaluation

Considers the overall assistance and country assistance strategies conducted under a country program to comprehensively diagnose individual activities related to the recipient.

Thematic evaluation

Evaluation of themes such as gender, the environment, human rights, and system improvement called cross-cutting issues.

Modality evaluation

Evaluate projects as training, dispatch of experts, dispatch of volunteer corps, etc according to these different modes.
