Programs Supported in 2019
In 2019, there were 16 global training programs out of which 34 civil and public servants participated. The programs ranged from Capacity Building for Agricultural Cooperatives, Capacity Building for Fuel Quality Management, Information and Communication Technologies for Meteorological Services through to Mainstreaming Climate Change Adaptation and Disaster Risk Reduction for Sustainable Development, Global Workshop for Capacity Building of TVET and Qualification Experts in Sub-saharan Africa to Capacity Building For Women Construction Engineers In Africa and The Improvement of the National Curriculum and Textbooks for the Quality Enhancement of School Education.
In 2019, 50 Ghanaian government officials undertook a country specific training in Performance –based Human Resource Management System held in Accra, Ghana. 15 officials also participated in the Farmer Based Organization/Farmer Based Cooperatives invitational training program in Korea. Additionally, 10 officials from the Ghana Immigration Service and Ministry of Interior also participated in the Capacity Building for MIS Department training in Korea.In 2019, 30 government officials received the KOICA Masters’ Scholarship to study courses such as Fisheries Sciences, Agriculture, Finance and Tax Policy, Community Development and host of other developmental courses. The scholarship is opened to all the government officials from the Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAS) in Ghana
