Invitation for Pre-Qualification in Procurement of Construction

1. KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency) Iraq Office invites prospective bidders for the International Open Competitive Bidding of the ‘Construction of IRAQ-KOREA CRITICAL CARE SPECIALTY HOSPITAL. The project is being conducted through the grant aid program of the Government of the Republic of Korea.

Construction of Hospital and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) building

-          Hospital building :  6,144㎡ (70 ICU beds)

-          MEP building   :  762㎡

In Medical City, Baghdad, Iraq.

22 Months

Estimated Budget

USD 16,029,000 (VAT excluded) 

 

  1. Bid type : International Open Competitive Bidding,

    ※ Pre-qualification (PQ) process is implemented. Qualified bidders in PQ evaluation will be invited to bid conference, and be requested to submit the bid documents and be evaluated with Construction capability & Price proposal

     

  2. Selection of the Successful Bidder: The duly eligible bidder who proposes lowest price and gets 92 points or more from the bid evaluation will be selected as a preferred bidder

    .        

    ※ Bid Evaluation :  Construction capability (50 %) + Price Proposal (30%) + PM & engineer’s capability (20%)

3. Pre-Qualification requirements and PQ document submission

 A bidder shall meet all the formats included in Attachment 1. Form of Eligibility (PQ)

 

 

  1. Drawing, specification, BOQ will be provided to qualified bidders at bid conference.

     

  2. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of amount equivalent to 2.5 % of the ‘Bid Price’ with its guarantee period from no later than Bid Closing Date to not earlier than Thirty(30) Days after the Bid Opening Date

     

In case the successful bidder fails to sign the contract without a convincing reason, the Bid Security will be confiscated by KOICA.

 

  1. KOICA Iraq Office will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

     

    7. All bidders shall refer to the RFP(Request for Proposal) of this project. The RFP is available at KOICA WEB site http://www.koica.go.kr/sites/iq_en/index.do,
