Invitation for Bids

The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Iraq Office and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) Business Centre Baghdad intend to invite foreign and local eligible Tenderers for Static Guard security service of KOICA-KOTRA Iraq office building

A Bidder who passes PQ (pre- qualification) shall meet the entire requirement listed as follows and submit the relevant documents on the website as the following:

1)      Letter of Application, 2)Bidder’s Information Sheet, 3)Work Performance Record, 4)Licence for the Security Service’s work in Iraq, 5)Contract agreement document and Last invoice of payment request of work performance(in order to certificate the above record)

1.      Bidder who passes PQ (pre- qualification) shall propose the price excluding VAT and the contract price also shall exclude VAT. In case of occurring necessary measures to exempt VAT or get tax refund, the responsibility to follow those measures are belong to the Contractor, not KOICA and KOTRA.

2.      The KOICA Iraq Office and KOTRA Business Centre Baghdad require that Bidders and the contractor observe the highest standard of ethics during the procurement and execution of such contracts. In pursuance of this policy, KOICA & KOTRA.

A. will reject a proposal for award if it determines that the Bidder recommended for award has engaged in corrupt or fraudulent practices in competing for the contract in question.

B. will recognize a contractor as ineligible, for a period determined by KOICA & KOTRA.

3.      The KOICA Iraq Office and KOTRA Business Centre Baghdad now invite sealed bids from eligible Bidders from eligible source countries.

4.      Bidders should be an independent entity whose office is located in Baghdad and must be officially registered for consultant services at authority’s concerned in Baghdad. Combination of co-contracting entities in the form of a joint venture or consortium is not allowed.

5.      KOICA and KOTRA will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

6.      Bidders are expected to examine all instructions, forms, terms and specifications in the bidding documents. Failure to furnish all information required by the bidding documents or submission of a bid not substantially responsive to the bidding documents in every respect shall be at the Bidder's risk and may result in the rejection of the bid.

7.      Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information on the bid form and inspect the bidding documents at the KOICA Iraq Office and KOTRA Business Centre Baghdad.
