On 29th November 2019, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kenya, H.E Ambassador Yeonghan Choi and Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and Ag. Cabinet Secretary of the National Treasury, Hon. (Amb) Ukur Yatani officiated the handing over ceremony of the project for Capacity Development of National Industrial Training Authority (NITA). In attendance was the Principal Secretary of the State Department of Labour, Eng. Peter Tum, NITA Board of Directors and NITA staff. This project was initiated in 2014 by the Government of the Republic of Kenya and the Government of the Republic of Korea and USD 4 million was allocated for formulation of NITA Action Plan, renovation of NITA Mombasa Workshops, provision of training equipment in the workshops and capacity development of NITA industrial training officers.

- To provide intensive assistance to MITC (Mombasa Industrial Training Center)
- To operate NITA (National Industrial Training Authority) in Kenya
- To contribute to Kenya’s economic development by enhancing training capabilities.

ㅇ Participants: 4,000 people including Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Kenya, H.E Ambassador Yeonghan Choi and Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection and Ag. Cabinet Secretary of the National Treasury, Hon. (Amb) Ukur Yatani
