KOICA to offer second-year online course on “Capacity Development Program for National School of Local Administration (Cambodia)”
Phnom Penh: On June 15, 2022, The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Cambodia office launched an online course on “Capacity Development Program for National School of Local Administration (Cambodia)” participated by twenty trainers and staff of National School of Local Administration (NASLA).
The objective of this training course is to strengthen the capacity of Cambodian local government officials by sharing Korea’s experience in Human Resource Development (HRD) and Human Resources Management (HRM) systems.
This year, KOICA has conducted the second year online training course on “Capacity Development Program for National School of Local Administration (Cambodia)”, from June 20 to June 24, 2022.
The five-day online training course will be participated by twenty (20) trainers and staff from National School of Local Administration (NASLA).
This intensive training course is designed 1)- to develop the participants’ capacity for HRD and HRM in the public sector, 2)- to support the establishment of a training system for local government officials and to enhance the capacity of trainers at NASLA, 3)- to contribute to building a foundation for national development by supporting successful implementation of capacity development strategies for local government officials in Cambodia.
The Cambodian participants have also prepared a country report by analyzing the current issues and major challenges the country is facing. It is part of the Action Plan building process in which participants will get involved throughout the training program.
In Cambodia, KOICA works in several technical areas on various programs and projects that substantially impact Cambodia’s development such as improving students’ nutrition and wellbeing, strengthening teacher capacity, public health, agriculture and health infrastructure, and innovation.
KOICA will continue to support and implement programs in Cambodia that target the development of human resources.
