As of April, 2021
KOICA strives to enhance the effects of international development cooperation programs by linking KOICA’s international aid-related expertise and the specialty of diverse parties. Since 1995, KOICA has conducted 136 Public-Private Partnership Programs in Cambodia
Since the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) in 2011, which put a strong emphasis on the importance of inclusive partnerships, the development community has witnessed unprecedented participation by diverse stakeholder in development cooperation. In this context, KOICA has committed to establishing and operating a platform that facilitates communication and coordination among development partners across all sectors and areas.
Through Public Private Partnership, KOICA undertakes various development projects in partnership with diverse development actors such as CSOs, businesses and academia, to fight against poverty and promote better living standards for people in developing countries.
Through the establishment of partnerships with the private sector, KOICA has shared a range of programs to provide grants to developing countries. The Global CSR Program allows the private sector to supplement a shortage in the ODA budget, while enhancing the efficiency of ODA projects through using the unique expertise and management skills of the private sector.
Under this program, KOICA has supported projects that can potentially contribute to the socio-economic development of developing countries and the enhancement of local living conditions. The program also supports projects that are expected to contribute to the fulfillment of corporate social responsibility, while demonstrating high effectiveness and impact
Civil Society Partnership Program supports international development cooperation activities of CSOs(Civil Society Organizations) and academia, working towards reducing poverty and promoting the better standard of living in developing countries, and complements intergovernmental projects through grass-root development cooperation projects on five focus areas(higher education, education, health, agriculture and fisheries, multi-area).
In 2021, KOICA will support 7 Civil Society Partnership Program[CPP], 2 Academy Partnership Program[APP] and 1 Social and Solidarity Economy Program[SEEP] in Cambodia.
KOICA developed innovative projects through the Development Innovation Program[DIP], based on the collaboration with various domestic and foreign private partners to enhance the effectiveness of development. Furthermore, KOICA is continuously supporting the achievement of SDGs and encouraging more private companies to participate in development cooperation projects through different partnerships.
In 2021, KOICA will support 1 Creative Technology Solution[CTS] and 2 Inclusive Business Solution[IBS] in Cambodia.
