2019 ' Development Cooperation Day' ceremony invitation
The first day of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)-Republic of Korea special summit, November 25, coincides with the ‘Development Cooperation Day’ that is annually celebrated in Korea.
Korea successfully transformed itself from a recipient to a donor and was formally endorsed as the 24th member of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) on November 25th 2009.
Hence, to commemorate the 2019 Development Cooperation Day and shed light on the role of development cooperation in strengthening genuine friendship in our greater region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) are convening a side event on the margins of the summit on Monday, November 25, from 12:00 to 14:20.
In this commemorative ceremony under the theme ‘30 Years of Korea-ASEAN Companionship, Towards Co-Existence and Co-Prosperity’, we hope to discuss ways for enhancing collaboration around the three core principles of Korea’s New Southern Policy : People, Peace, and Prosperity (3P).
