On 22nd January, KOICA Tunisia launched the 2nd briefing session for post-management of the “Implementation of the Electronic Platform(e-people) for Public Participation and Fighting Corruption in Tunisia” Project with BCRC(Bureau Central des Relations avec le Citoyen, Central Civil Affairs Bureau).
The E-People System was launched in March 2018 as an online platform for collecting public opinion and handling civil petitions. It symbolizes democratization and informatization that supports various petition requests, policy proposals, proposal registrations, and corruption reports received online which are handled transparently and promptly. The E-People System also contributes to the strengthening of participatory democracy and governmental transparency through improving citizens’ confidence in government and expansion of public communication system.
This year from January 21st to February 23rd, the 2nd dispatched experts will advance the E-People System with various additional elements, conduct local training for administrators to strengthen the operationalization of the system, and support communication to increase its users.
