In 2010,all KOICA extrainees met in Kampala and agreed to form a club. Between 2010-2011, the association was called KOICA Alumni Association of Uganda (KAAU), operated by an interim committee. In 2012, KAAU was disolved and the association name changed to KOICA Club of Uganda (KOCU) the interim committee was given full authority to manage the club for 2 years after re-election at the Annual General Meeting.

About Alumni
Objectives
The club aims of; Promotion of KOICA activities in Uganda; Strengthening the bond between Korean and Ugandan culture; Community service outreach; Networking events social gathering; On-line social networking; Implementation of the acquired knowledge from Korea to the Ugandan community; Environmental protection As of November 2018, 903 KOCU members have acquired skills, expertise, learning, knowledge and services from Korea they share with target beneficiaries and communities towards the betterment of lives.
By 2016, 613 KOCU members have shared skills, expertise, learnings, knowledge and services to target beneficiaries and communities towards the betterment of lives.
Be a link between and among KOICA scholars and other organizations for continuing education and resource mobilization. Provide relevant services to its members and the community.
- Maintain linkages between and among KOICA scholars here and abroad through social networking sites, newsletter and website.

KOCU community outreach/volunteer activities
KOCU members work with community members and empower them to support their own initiatives. For all KOCU outreach activities, communities are mobilized to participate and the spirit of voluntarism is encouraged. The activities are conducted in rural communities to improve their livelihood. Volunteering is a great way in which KOICA alumni connect with communities in Uganda.
Knowledge Sharing Activity through Action Plan Evaluation
The KOICA Club of Uganda (KOCU) organize a Knowledge sharing activity to share the expertise KOCU members have acquired from the participation in fellowship programs in Korea.
During the activity, the members are to present their action plan and the evaluation of their activities that have been done since they have come back from Korea. It also would be a good chance for KOCU members to see how they managed to incorporate the skills adopted from Korea into their everyday work. The lectures will be open to the whole rural community of local district so that KOCU can share the benefits of fellowship programs.
Homecoming Dinner
Every year, KOCU holds a homecoming dinner with returned alumni to enhance good relationship among fellows and engage them in the life of the club’s activities. Mainly, new graduates back from Korea would be introduced to the members and they would be sharing their knowledge and experience with other alumni. It also enables communication with the KOICA fellows and encourages new graduates to join the KOCU club and the activities.
Annual General Meeting
Every year, KOCU holds an AGM to review club activities and performance of the club. The AGM brings together all former beneficiaries of the KOICA Capacity Improvement Programme for Tomorrow (CIAT) to discuss the Club undertakings as well as formulate the upcoming year work plan.
