#2 Assignment Period
2 years starts from the day that volunteer arrives at Uganda
#3 Working Time
Monday to Friday
Total working hour is over 15h and under 20h per week
* Note: the working time should be no later than 17:30pm
#4 Holiday leave
Holiday of volunteer adheres to domestic holiday following the Uganda calendar.
* Note: if volunteer wants to apply for separation vacation in the country aside from regular holiday, please be informed that volunteers have to inform KOICA Office and your organization with at least one week’s notice
- Volunteer has 3 weeks vacation they can use. They can spend overseas holiday during this period, but only after spending at least one year in Uganda and with condition that two months is left before the end of work period.
#5 Budget
Volunteer can request the budget for material supply to run their subject effectively (i.e. teaching materials)
#6 Termination of volunteer program
Please note that KOICA reserves right to withdraw volunteer from host organization any time if: 1. The safety of local area is not secure enough 2. Poor level of cooperation is observed with the host organization 3. There isn’t enough work for volunteer
We also recognize the right of hosting organization to terminate volunteer program if volunteer: 1. Causes problem 2. Shows poor work ethics
