Inauguration of Korea International Cooperation Agency (Formally, Korea's International Development Cooperation) Agenda of KOICA
The foundation of Korean government's ODA was laid when KOICA became exclusively responsible for grants and technical cooperation projects in 1991. KOICA solidified its local foundations for implementing ODA projects by expanding and building new overseas offices. As Korea became a member of OECD in 1996, it actively pursued ODA projects to share its development experience.
