KOICA’s Transportation Mid-Term Strategy2021-2025

Transport infrastructure plays a significant role in bringing vitality to the economic activities of a country. Likewise, an adequate transport infrastructure is a prerequisite for economic and social development. KOICA recently devised the Transportation Mid-Term Strategy (2021-2025) to assist our partner countries in meeting their transport infrastructure needs. Moving forward, KOICA’s focus will be to serve as a catalyst for comprehensive growth along with systematic transport development in these countries.

    • Enhancing traffic safety to achieve zero traffic accidents and minimize social loss costs
    • Providing transportation services closely related to the daily life of the public that encompasses vulnerable road users and the underprivileged

      Public transportation in regions/cities, urban transportation, smart transportation (mobility)

    • Providing eco-friendly transportation policies, technologies, and services that enable people and nature to coexist
    • Major projects:
      Urban traffic congestion relief, eco-friendly transportation, intelligent transportation systems (smart transportation)
