Civil Society Cooperation Program aims to eradicate poverty and improve welfare of people in partner countries, based on cooperation with private organizations.
Program overview
Civil Society Cooperation Program supports international development cooperation activities of CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) and academia, working towards reducing poverty and promoting the better standard of living in developing countries, and complements intergovernmental projects through grass-root development cooperation projects on five focus areas (higher education, education, health, agriculture and fisheries, multi-area).

Call for applications : Annually (in the first half of the year)
Project Period : Multi-year (2-3 years) projects only
Funding Rate : 8:2 (Funding ratio will vary depending on the type of the partner organization)

Builds the capacity for higher education and fosters high-quality talents
Education
Strengthens public education of local communities and improves accessibility to education
Health
Improves the environment and services on health and sanitation in local communities
Agriculture, forestry and fisheries
Enhances the self-reliance capacity of rural communities
Multi-area
Builds capacity of disadvantaged groups for their independence
Enhances resilience for climate change and preserves environmental resources
Develops urban communities and implements development cooperation projects on culture

Civil society organizations in Korea: Private NGOs registered under national government or local government agencies
Universities and research institutes: Universities and research institutes under relevant laws
